The Wean Races have always been a favoured destination for tour bus operators, hotel bus groups and private social bus groups since its inception in 1933. Due to its isolation, if you want to have a good time and a few drinks, without the worry of driving home, coming by bus is the best option. The Wean Amateur Picnic Race Club offer gate discounts to people that come by bus, to encourage safer travelling for our patrons.

Putting on a bus tour to Wean is also a great way to reward patrons and create business for publicans and hoteliers. We contact every hotel within a two hour radius several months prior to the race meeting, and send them posters and travel brochures to assist with their publicity should they be trying to put on a tour.
